Secret Weapon: Moisturizing Leave In Conditioning Cream
Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Conditioning Repair Cream is a great leave in moisturizer made with shea butter that I discovered one day by chance in Wal-Mart.
I apply it very sparingly (I wear individual braids) to avoid any chance of white residue. Even when I overdo it sometimes, I just keep massaging and it disappears, leaving my hair very soft and moisturized. It also works pretty well as a deep-conditioner.
Wearing natural hairstyles means being extra vigilant about moisture, so this is a welcome addition to my beauty closet. I only wish I had discovered it when I was wearing two-stand twists and my kinky/curly fro!

Can I use this with my nubian braids? I'm in the process of transitioning with braids to natural hair.

DeltaGirl 6 - I wouldn't apply it directly to your braids. I rub a small amount in my hands and apply it very sparingly to my scalp - especially when I feel my hair feels too dry. Sometimes I follow by spraying my hair with a little oil.
Berry and Jillian - It does smell great!

So they sell it at wal-mart. Do they sell it a beauty supply stores and does it give curl definition?

Jazmyn,
I used it as a deep conditioner a few days ago, but I laid it on thick (and went under the dryer) so I wasn't looking for curl definition. I did notice some of the reviews at Drugstore.com mention curl definition - but they didn't mention what type of hair they have so you never know.
As for beauty supplies, I haven't seen it in any of my beauty supply stores yet, but that could change. It may depend on what part of the country you live in.
