Lovely Laptop Bags

Abbinyallybag Abbinysiennabag Abbinynataliebag Abbinyminabag_4

More inspiration from Pop Gadget this afternoon in the form of these gorgeous laptop bags by Abbi New York.  Dang, I can't WAIT until I'm able to replace my dead laptop!  I swear the second I get one, it's going right into one of these babies.  Namely the Dylan.

Lovely!

Then again, my grandmother always complains that I always wear black and she's partially right.  The truth is that I must always have a black bag, so I'm sure I'll get acquainted with the Sabrina bag as well.   That is, as soon as it's back in stock.

$55 and Under: Let Me Give You My Card

I am waiting for my new Moo MiniCards to arrive and I can't wait.   I've been procrastinating forever about getting new cards, but I finally broke down when I saw the cute - and customizable - Moo cards on Pop Gadget

I found a really cute card case at Urban Outfitters.  Well, technically it's a mini hinge wallet, but it was on sale for ten bucks, so I snapped it right up.  I was eyeing the cases on See Jane Work (top), but I was roaming around Urban Outfitters in Montclair last Sunday and well, that was that.

I actually saved these amazing gem card holders by Spring Street design several months ago, but I never got around to writing about them.   It's just as well because they are normally around $60, but they are just under $40 until August 5 as a part of  Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale.   I think they are perfect to tuck inside of an evening clutch, no?

You Ought To Be In Pictures

I am just the biggest sucker for makeup palettes, so it came as no surprise that I gravitated to these limited edition eye and cheek palettes by Stila.  Each set comes with three eye shadows, blush and an IT lip gloss, which is pretty standard.  But, of course, the fun and collectible magazine cover design is the kicker.   My favorite is Look No. 4 - cheek color in Heat (rich warm rose), eye shadows in Nude (shimmering pink taupe), Icon (shimmering golden pink) and Twig (shimmering copper brown) with an IT lip gloss in Inviting (shimmering peach), but I really like all of them.

No surprise there!

All palettes are $40.

Stila Front Cover Lookbook Palette in Look no. 1 - Cheek color in Rose (soft natural pink).  Eye shadows in Heather (pale pink shimmer) Grace (light fawn shimmer) and Espresso (dark matte brown).  IT lip gloss in Smashing (bright shimmering pink).

Stila Front Cover Lookbook Palette in Look no. 2  - Cheek color in Tint (soft natural pink).  Eye shadows in Lame (gold pearl), Oasis (golden peach pear) and Coin (soft burnished brown).  IT lip gloss in Enchanting (shimmering peach pink).

Stila Front Cover Lookbook Palette in Look no. 3 - Cheek color in Fade (soft natural pink brown).  Eye shadows in Shell (shimmering soft rose), Puck (gray brown pearl) and Dahlia (matte deep blue purple).  IT lip gloss in Sweet(shimmering rose).

Them There Eyes

Lash & brow conditioner?  Why the heck not!  For those of us who obsess over our eyebrows with each trip to the ladies room, it's the perfect indulgence to keep us occupied.

I just discovered this one from Shalini Vadhera's Global Goddess line.  I had no idea it was available at Nordstrom, but I'm very pleased!  This lash & brow conditioner contains a 'time-tested Indian secret concoction' that include the oils from coconut and amla, which is also known as Indian gooseberry.   And would you believe it also encourages lash growth and fight free radicals?

Well, okay.  I don't believe anything will actually make your lashes grow.  And I still haven't figured out the free radical thing.  But does any of that really make a difference when it comes to an indulgence?

Why, of course not...

Global Goddess 'Coconut Amla' Lash & Brow Conditioner $21.00.

Ted Gibson at Sephora

Yes, more Sephora!

Tedgibson_3I can hardly help it when they bring uber-hairstylist Ted Gibson on board.  In case you're like, who the heck is Ted Gibson?!   He is one of the top celebrity hairstylists out there.   He began his career with Aveda and now his namesake salon is one of the hottest in Manhattan.  He's worked on everyone from Renée Zellweger and Jessica Alba to Gabrielle Union and Joy Bryant.   And I'm not even counting the countless models backstage at shows for Prada, Chanel and Dolce and Gabbana.

Since my hair is natural, I can't really try the product I'm really interested in from him - the hair sheets (there are two versions Treatment and Styling).  So, I've enlisted my partner-in-beauty Nicole to test them out and give me the lowdown.  I'll have that for you soon.

Ted Gibson Daily Cleanse Shampoo $32.00 Ted Gibson Daily Nourish Conditioner $32.00.  Ted Gibson Goodnite Hair Repair Serum $200.00. Ted Gibson Hair Sheet - Hair Treatment 5 Sheets, $35.00.

Ted Gibson Beautiful Hold Hairspray $32.00.   Ted Gibson Tame It Shine Lotion $31.00.

Secret Weapon: Olive Oil Replenishing Pak

Oliveoilreplenishingpak

Okay, it's official:  I'm on a conditioner kick this week.

I am so sure that I am not alone in picking up about 10 of these Olive Oil Replenishing Paks from Organic Root Stimulator whenever I'm in a beauty supply or drugstore.   The packet is only $1.29 and it smells so good (it has a sweet citrusy scent) and works so well, I just love it.   I use it with or without a heat cap and find it to be very moisturizing and even calming with the scent.

I don't know why it doesn't come in a huge bottle (with a pump, thank you very much) but maybe the folks over at Organic Root Stimulator will take a hint?

Let's keep our fingers crossed...
