So, as we learned from Hollywould's Target
Collection earlier this week, sometimes it's just better to stick with
the original. I believe that even more firmly now with the debut of
Roberto Cavalli's new collection at H&M. No, I didn't stand in
line for hours like some brave souls (I have this thing about getting trampled) but I did
look at the line on H&M's site and on several blogs and... I am
underwhelmed yet again by one of my favorite designers!
As much as I love the idea of attainable Cavalli, sometimes you've just got to accept that it just won't be the same and it's best to wait for the real deal.
Sigh...
Just Cavalli Gathered Jersey Dress with Metal Detail $595. Just Cavalli Jaguar Print Dress $695.
Just Cavalli Crisscross Strap Pump $480. Roberto Cavalli Oil Slick Bootie Pump $905.00.

Girrrrl... I so agree with you on the Hollywould line for Target! To keep it all real, I got a little excited about the patent leather ones when I saw them online. Seeing them in real life, though, was quite the let-down. And don't get me started on the purses. Anyway, so glad to see you speak the truth!

You should see the pieces in person. Much better than online.

Hey Diva, I agree! The only think I liked was the gold shift dress. It looks cheap but im attracted to anything that shines ;) xoxo MIMI

@ StyleScrybe - I couldn't agree more. Love Hollywood. Not so much Hollywould at Target.
@ Jenn - That's not what I've heard, but I will go once the crowds die down of course. And for the money he's charging in H&M - I'd rather save my money for his real stuff - his "Roberto Cavalli" line and the "Just Cavalli" line.
@ Amy - I'll take the (better quality) Just Cavalli dress for $700 and have it forever. I just can't wrap my mind around spending $250 in H&M on a single item, no matter whose name is attached. Give me the no name for $25!
@ Mimi - I hear ya girl! I love shiny things too - as long as they don't look TOO cheap!

The two shoe designs you are displaying here, in this post, are stunning. I especially love those crisscross strap pumps.

RC killed his brand just like V Wang did. this designers are just asking for the new kids on the block to take their spot. Why ruin your iconic status to please the masses.?
