Comfort Creams & Candles

   

Sorry ladies! 

I'm trying not to be too sporadic here but I'm working on a soon to be not-so-secret project that is also taking up a lot of my time, sleep and energy which means a little indulgence goes a long way with me.

My latest little indulgence?  Body creams.  Lush, creamy, heavenly-scented concoctions enriched with natural oils that moisturize well and even do double-duty for me as aromatherapy.  I haven't always been a big fan of body creams thanks to one too-many fake-smelling posers that simply mimicked its corresponding fragrance without doing much else.  I have always been a big Fresh fan and I love, Love, LOVE their newer scents.  Take my word for it - follow Fresh's now classic Brown Sugar Body Polish with the Mangosteen Body Lotion.  Heaven.

Or, if your version of heaven smells like roses, the Cannabis Rose  will definitely make you happy.  I'm funny with rose scents, but I love this one and I love REN's Damask Rose Body Cream.  I have heard good things about REN Clean Skincare, but I stumbled upon it by accident one day in the SpaceNK store on Manhattan's Upper West Side. 

                        

I also need good candles even though they can run a little on the expensive side.  Believe me, if I could find a Tocca quality candle for $5.99 I would grab it!  However, I have yet to find many cheap inexpensive candles that can come close to the subtle, beautiful scent that Rodolfo leaves in my apartment.  I can even smell a hint of it when I walk in the door and long before I get to light it.

Little indulgences definitely make a big difference...

I love those Tocca candles - the one called Sophia is really nice. At $36 they're a bit of a splurge but so worth it my apt. has never smelled better.
