In this short clip, you get at nice look at how Bobbi Brown created the makeup for the models in Rachel Roy's Fall 2009 presentation. Watch as she creates the soft brows and mixes the colors for the much talked about dark lips for the show. According to Bobbi, it was "basically a black lipstick with some hints of purple and violet."

I can't recall what site or mag I saw the whole Black lipstick is the new thing trend, but this has got me believing it. I'm not that opposed to it, if done correctly and appropriately. Thanks for the video!

Yes, it definitely works for some women and - not others. Not unlike the dark nail polish rage.
