My first stop for New York's Spring 2010 Fashion Week was backstage checking out the makeup for IÓDICE, a beautiful, feminine line by Brazilian-born designer Valdemar Iodice.
MAC was on duty for makeup and one of their Senior Artists, Keri Blair (above with hairstylist Carly Missico of Cutler Hair Salon in Manhattan) gave me the details on the looks. It was very understated yet finished - bronzed and refined (very Brazilian, yes?) There was also a blast of color with pinks and corals in creamy textures - even lilacs with a twist.
On the eyes - MAC's dewy Warmlight (from last season - sorry...) along with a dusty coral paintstick on the lips followed by a touch of MAC's Cream Colour Base in Pearl. The foundation was MAC's brand new Face and Body Foundation (C4 on the model above).
The brows
were left natural with a bit of clear Brow Set and a quick stroke of MAC's multi-purpose 194 Concealer Brush
(for the lips, corner of the eyes - Keri said it was almost as useful as double-stick tape!)
The model above (I'm sorry - I forget her name! I want to say Leah...) at the presentation.

Loving the finished look! It manages to be both dramatic and understated at the same time - something that is a whole lot harder to achieve than it actually looks (she says having failed to ever achieve it!)

I loved the finished look too - and I'll bet you can achieve it!
