I spotted this ad for Liaison Dangereuse, an online lingerie store from Germany at Jezebel (they found it at Animal and Ad Freak) and I am curious to hear what you think about it.
I'm not sure what to think about it. At first glance, I knew it wasn't an American commercial - and not only due to the model's bare-bottom in the opening shot. There is an elegance in this ad that you just don't find on our airwaves. I wouldn't go as far as saying that it is "empowering" to women - but I am not offended by it either. Then again, I am not Muslim (did you know that there was a ban on women selling lingerie in Saudi Arabia?)
Let me know what you think of this ad - especially the twist at the end.
It's quite funny but also true! Arab women love lingerie. Think about it, if you must wear the same thing everyday, you still want to feel like a woman, you still want to have a bit of fun.
