All Hail McQueen - Tyra Banks returns to modeling with a tribute to the late designer, Alexander McQueen.
Vanessa Williams joining the cast of Desperate Housewives is good news - but it would have been better news a few seasons ago. Instead of misusing Alfre Woodard in that bizarre plot with the guy in the basement, a "wicked" Vanessa Williams wreaking havoc on Wisteria Lane would have been fabulous. But, we can look on the bright side: we may have missed out on Wilhemina Slater.
I love Janet Jackson's latest hairstyle and contrary to popular belief, it's not the first
time she has gone short. When I spied the wet look she sported a few
days earlier, at first glance, I was worried that she was following the
shaved head trend. Thank goodness that was not the case.
One of my favorite press events as a blogger was hosted by Navan, the makers of Grand Marnier. It was an event to introduce their new vanilla-flavored liqueur and the drinks and hors d'oeuvres were all infused with it. The chef that evening was Jacqui Lombard (left in the bottom photo) and she is a contestant on the seventh season of Top Chef on Bravo! I am so excited for her.
And I love that she lists her Summer Corn Risotto (above) as her favorite recipe in her Top Chef bio - it's the same recipe she shared with me after the Navan event. I hung out with her in the kitchen and watched her make several batches and, trust me, it was delicious! The recipe is right here.
