I discovered AphroChic one day while browsing through Apartment Therapy and was immediately intrigued. Designer Jeanine Hays founded her company in 2009 and her latest collection of  gorgeous, sustainable 21st century toile were inspired by her love for Brooklyn.  A policy attorney who recently quit her day job to devote herself to AphroChic full-time, Hays also offers wallpaper (digital and hand screened), tabletop and (100% organic cotton) shower curtains.

Jeanine is great and als a designer to watch. She and I met for the first time in Paris a week ago as she attended her first Maison et Objet show. It's great to meet other creative, focused people.
