He goes by AlphaCat on his YouTube channel but his real name is Iman Crosson. The Los Angeles Times described his Barack Obama impersonation as "almost as eerily accurate as Fey's Palin" and I agree. He also won a presidential-candidate impersonation contest sponsored by Denny's.
Check him out as Barack Obama prepping for a presidential debate:
Here he is spoofing T.I.'s "Whatever You Like" as President-Elect Obama.
And while we're at it, can we get a decent Michelle Obama impersonator please?! A European commenter on one of my favorite blogs, Jezebel, asked "Why are two white people playing the Obamas?" I had to laugh even though I know that Fred Armisen is Venezualan, German and Japanese and Maya Rudolph (the late great Minnie Riperton's daughter) is half-Black American and half Jewish.
Since sketch shows seem to be at a loss for a good Michelle Obama, I hereby nominate Aisha Tyler (top left). A beautiful, black, six-foot tall Ivy-league educated chocolate-skinned comedienne.
Duh!

I totally agree! I love Aisha Tyler and I think she would totally nail it!

Let's keep our fingers crossed. Apparently SNL is auditioning new Obamas but no word on a Michelle yet.
