What if Michaele Salahi were not a "glittering blonde?"

  I am having major issues with the White House State Dinner crashers, Tareq and Michaele Salahi. The first description of Michaele Salahi referred to her as a "glittering blonde decked out in a red and gold sari" and I knew we were in trouble.  Even at the White House, the automatic assumption about a "glittering blonde" is why of course she belongs!  She looks the part, right? Unlike White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers and White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett apparently.  

They could barely get into the White House Correspondents Dinner last May without producing photo ID:  

Uh, who are you Ms. Rogers and Ms. Jarrett?

They may be big deals, but White House insiders Valerie Jarrett and Desiree Rogers had a hard time getting into the White House Correspondents Dinner and POLITICO was there to catch it all on tape. The two were stopped by security and forced to reveal IDs to prove that, well, they're sorta big deals.

UPDATE: Apparently the interlopers did indeed get directly to the president. The White House released the photo below.   

They should be in jail right now. YOU would be!

A crazy double standard. And this woman is trying to get on "The Real Housewives of D.C." People are losing their minds trying to get on reality shows these days. AND I heard today that this couple has over 20 civil suits pending against them. Ridiculous.

@Chanel - I read about the lawsuits too! I really hope this is the beginning of the end of reality TV. After the "balloon boy" incident and this breach of national security involving the President of the United States of America (6 out of 7 in line for the presidency were in the room that night. What if both of these people grabbed dinner knives from the table? Broke a wine glass? These people should be in JAIL right now! NOT preparing to go on Larry King!

@Erica - Thanks for pointing out the correlation with the 24 episode. I'm going to update this post and highlight it. It's a perfect illustration of why this is a BIG deal that should not be taken lightly.

@MarieDenee - Yes! You, me and most people with some common damn sense noted the same thing. It is unfortunate and in this case, dangerous!
