As I am sure you have heard by now, Eartha Kitt, the legendary groundbreaking singer, dancer and actress died on Christmas Day. I am so happy that I had the honor of not only meeting her, I had a chance to watch her in rehearsals and interview her in 2001. She had returned to Broadway for a brief stint as The Fairy Godmother in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella. She was also promoting her fourth book, Rejuvenate! It's Never Too Late.
What a gift you were, Miss Kitt. Rest in peace.
