Personal trainer extraordinaire Jillian Michaels has an interesting article up at Glamour.com and she asks two great questions that you should ask yourself before you start a new weight loss plan:
1. Why the heck are you doing this?
2. What are you afraid of?
I think they are excellent questions because too many of us don't really think about why we really want to lose weight. Of course, we want to look good and have more energy - who doesn't?
But what about some of the underlying fears and even phobias that hold us back? Is there some core belief that is holding you back in your life in general that extends to your weight? What truly motivates you? And finally, what are you afraid of? Does it make you nervous to get attention from men? Have you gotten used to blending in and being invisible?
